Frequently asked questions
Don't see what you're looking for? Call us at 778-504-4407.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Both work. Walk in any time during clinic hours and we'll do our best to see you the same day. If you'd prefer a guaranteed time, book online — booking ahead usually means a shorter wait. Are you accepting new family-practice patients?
Availability varies by doctor and changes over time. Check each doctor's profile on the Doctors page — you'll see whether they're currently accepting new patients. What should I bring to my visit?
Bring your BC Services Card (or other valid ID), a list of any medications you take, and a brief note about what you'd like to discuss. If you're seeing us for a follow-up, bring any related reports or imaging.Does the clinic accept MSP?
Yes. Most services are covered by MSP if you have a valid BC Services Card. A small number of services (e.g., third-party medical forms, travel vaccines, doctor's notes) are not covered and have an out-of-pocket cost — we'll tell you up front. What languages do the doctors speak?
Languages spoken by each doctor are listed on their profile. If you'd prefer to see a doctor who speaks a specific language, let us know when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate. Can I get a prescription refilled without coming in?
Most prescription renewals require a short visit — either walk-in or booked. This lets the doctor confirm the medication is still right for you. Some refills can be handled by phone for established patients; ask reception. How do I get a referral to a specialist?
Book or walk in to discuss your concern. If a referral is appropriate, your doctor will send it to a specialist's office. Wait times for specialists are set by their offices — we'll choose one with reasonable availability where possible. What if I have an emergency after hours?
If it's a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For urgent non-emergency advice, call HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 — they have nurses available 24/7 and can direct you to after-hours care.
